Play is so essential for our children, and as much as they love involving us all the time in their imaginary (or not so imaginary) games, play is NOT the time for us to be majorly connecting! Children who struggle to engage in independent play can miss out on developing important life skills. Limiting our involvement, supplying a limited number of creative-boosting toys, and allowing our children to experience boredom encourages our children’s creativity, attention, and more to flourish!
